We are going to.. Kids Kampong!

The place where I work at organised an outing to Kids Kampong today and I thought Isa might be interested thus I signed him and Ray up for the day..

As the time slot for the children to enter Kids Kampong is from 12pm, thus there was games being organised for them to play at Pasir Ris Park.

And as I was expecting, I did not go with them. Ray took leave today so to spend time with Isa, besides he is much younger than the children in our centre so I guess its only fair that Ray was there to give him full attention.

That is my cousin with her bf. On her right side are two of our other teachers.

While waiting for time to pass, watching the korkors and jie jies playing games at Pasir Ris Park..

I think Isa is bored.

The whole event took place from 1pm+ to about 3pm+, poor Isa knocked out only after 430pm when he reached home and had his shower. Guess what time he woke up from his nap?

Wonder how I would survive tonight?

Braxton's Hicks..

I have been having some regular Braxton's Hicks of recent. Though I can safety declare that they are not pre-labour signs as yet but it can get quite worrying cos the supposedly edd for our dear ms pinu is 3rd Feb. And because of this worry, I decided to start my Maternity Leave (ML) to start on 16 Jan 2012 (when I am about 37 weeks preg)..

On top of this, from my last visit at 32 weeks preg, my gynae also gave me the admission letter which is an indication to say that I can be admitted so as long as one of the 5 signs of labour appears. Here are the 5 signs:

• Your baby "drops."

If this is your first pregnancy, you may feel what's known as "lightening" a few weeks before labor starts. You might sense a heaviness in your pelvis as this happens and notice less pressure just below your ribcage, making it easier to catch your breath.

• You note more Braxton Hicks contractions.

More frequent and intense Braxton Hicks contractions can signal pre-labor, during which your cervix ripens (see below) and the stage is set for true labor. Some women experience a crampy, menstrual-like feeling during this time.

• Your cervix starts to change.

In the days and weeks before delivery, changes in the connective tissue of your cervix cause it to soften. What's more, Braxton Hicks contractions may do some of the preliminary work of thinning and perhaps opening your cervix a bit. (If you've given birth before, your cervix is more likely to dilate a centimeter or two before labor starts, but keep in mind that even being 40 weeks pregnant with your first baby and 1 centimeter dilated is no guarantee that labor is imminent.)

When you're at or near your due date, your practitioner may do a vaginal exam during your prenatal visit to see whether your cervix has started to change.

• You pass your mucus plug or notice "bloody show."

You may pass your mucus plug — the small amount of thickened mucus that has sealed your cervical canal during the last nine months — if your cervix begins to efface significantly or dilate as you get close to labor.

The plug may come out in a lump or as increased vaginal discharge over the course of several days. The mucus may be tinged with brown, pink, or red blood, which is why it's referred to as "bloody show." Having sex or a vaginal exam can also disturb your mucus plug and cause you to see some blood-tinged discharge, even when labor isn't going to start in the next few days.

• Your water breaks.

When the fluid-filled amniotic sac surrounding your baby ruptures, fluid leaks from your vagina. And whether it comes out in a large gush or a small trickle, you should call your doctor or midwife.

Most women start having regular contractions before their water breaks, but in some cases, the water breaks first. When this happens, labor usually follows soon. If you don't start having contractions on your own within a certain amount of time, you'll need to be induced, since your baby's more likely to get an infection without the amniotic sac's protection against germs.

Liked I mentioned in my earlier post, here is our stay in Ritz Carlton Singapore!
Though only one night but it was a night that was enough for me to feel pampered.

Seriously we only spent like less than 30min there but it was good enuf to capture his attention and also his cheeky expression!

Not to forget we were caught by a surprise cos we saw Aunt Jasmine n Ashley meimei!!

Staycation surprise..

For years that I have been hoping to plan, to go and to stay in a local hotel.. yet I could not..
But this year ah lao decided to give me a surprise!
Ritz Carlton here we come!!
No special reason given.. Just a surprise before I pop the little one.

Ms Pinu at Week 32..

You have to use a little of your imagination.. Her eyes were actually opening and closing at the time when gynae was scanning her!! And today her weight is estimated at 2kg.. Ya like already???
Gynae said this little girlie is on the path of coming out at ard 3.5kg and he was so shocked when he heard I did not want to take epidural. *proud* hehe..

To nurture the love..

Nobody said it was easy.. N I did not underestimate it but apparently it is really that difficult to teach a child to loves other one esp knowing this lil one will come n share the attention of your parents. Yes if u know what I am talking about..

It is about teaching and nurturing Isadore to love the lil sister.. It's about also teaching him to be as gracious as Him to love another person who is going to share his love for this whom we called our new bundle of joy.. In less than 2 months' time, she should arrive with His blessings definitely.

And I promise we will do our best to continue to nurture this older child of our with more of His wisdom words n knowledge so that he will teach the lil one about who He is. God's love is so deep n wide. He knows I am worried thus he is allowing me to spend more time with Isadore n also give us more space n time to nurture our love for the lil one.

He knows I am worried as I have been having vivid dreams of my water bag bursting in the middle of the night(I know it is a silly thought) or the other what ifs...

He knows I need more strength now thus He asks me to rest today (with the excuse of an MC) *hiaks.

He also knows that this is a period of life that I needed Him most.. Cos I know He is always there for me whenever I say a prayer..

He never walks out, He never gives up.. He never says no..
Thank you God for giving me strength.. Love.. Perseverance n everything.

When your tummy is 45inches..

You will crave for anything..
From cupcakes.. To gassy drinks.. To chocolates (yes you didn't see wrongly. I crave for chocolates!!).. To chips.. To fast food.. To cakes n tea.. Not to forget ms pinu also crave for food with extreme taste such as mala chili steamboat, chili padi in soya sauce.. And the list goes on!!

Bed n bfast.. No. It's Bed n Supper!

28 weeks.. And still growing..

2006 Nov. Isa inside my tummy at 30 weeks. 42 inches.

2011 Nov. Ms Pinu inside my tummy at 28 weeks. 44.5 inches.

I went to the gynae jus a couple of days ago and guess what? Ms pinu's weight is already estimated at 1.2-1.3kg!!

Isadore's was only at 1.2kg when I was at my 30 weeks when I was expecting him back then.. No wonder gynae said with Ms pinu's development, she should be a bigger baby if compare to korkor.

Oh no..

and did anyone notice that the "shape" of my tummy looks somewhat different in the two pregnancies? Have you ever heard before that if you are expecting a boy, your tummy will be more "sharp" (aka pointy and you would not even look like your pregnant from your back view) and when you are expecting a girl, your tummy will be more "round" (that should explains my "growing" truck)
