Hello Perth.. 2015 Part 2.. Time for myself is very important

Day 2: 7 November 2015 (Saturday)
All of us woke up at about 7am in the morning *yawns!!* so that we can reach Caversham Wildlife Park (Whiteman Park) at 9am so that we can catch the Animal Show at Molly Farm.

So zip 35min drive.. we arrived!

I am much braver this time.. as I managed to feed the roos by hand unlike the previous time I was here, I totally freaked out.

I heard some tourists commented.. good time to come in the mornings as the roos are hungry and they are just hobbling around us looking for food.

I love the weather so that I can go sleeveless.

Not forgetting we also met a very charismatic llama along the way.

Then soon the animal show started at Molly's Farm.
How do you react when someone tells you that
"isnt it cruel to shred the sheep's wool?"
sorry, im can be haughty like that at times.

The kids volunteered for the milk feeding for the foals.
so cute.

And this was really something new..
I actually get to milk the cow for a few seconds!
Milking the cow reminds me of bf. oops.

And hello Koalas!!
not koalas bears.. they are marsupials.

And it was soon time for lunch.. and shopping!!

They also have a "Centrepoint Shopping Centre" right in
Great Eastern Hwy, Midland, WA Perth.
The first spot where I had shopped rather massively.
I think I spent close to AUD$180 here. ouch.

Plans after lunch was to Kings Park!

A panoromic view from Kings Park.
Such a beautiful creation of nature.
on days like this, I am just so thankful of everything.

And crazy bunch of girls doing crazy jump shots.
and I look so unglam. oh well. time to practice more yay?

I love taking photographs but pls rem that I love being in the photographs too.

Dusk arrived soon and we had to be on the way back to the apartments.
We all had a sudden craving for Chinese food.

So seeing this just help us made up my minds.
Hack the price tag.
Hor fun, char kway teow, KoLokYok rice and etc..

Day 3: 8 November 2015 (Sunday)
After 2 days of driving around.. it was with much reluctance when we had return the 2 big wheelies. Indeed it was a jolly good experience that I get to drive a car with "handbrake" after so many years. And I was only glad that I was actually capable of driving in another country other than SG! Yet another milestone unlocked for me!

Anyway.. on the other hand, I know I should also heave a sigh of relief as driving around really exhaust me so much. It was time to say "hello public transport!"

I know I miss you Lil Blue Buddy but I hope to drive a similar (or bigger) you again when I come back to Aussie.

And now its time for Fremantle!

And photos like these just help me lock more memories of my current Perth trip. Bus stops with stands like this will tell the colour code of their buses.

I am simply in love with victorian buildings.

Here we are!! One of my favourite spots in Perth!

Love the hustle and bustle of this small little marketplace.

Green grocery corner.

This made me miss the paella from Melbourne.
It definitely does not taste as the one from QVM, Mel.

And so there was this busker with his humourous act.

And after lunch, we took a train to WaterTown
(used to be called HabourTown)

And this ticket is still in my wallet.
Dont ask me why.

Oh no.. I was very disciplined here. I merely spent close to AUD$60.
I gotten 3 pairs of shoes, 3 innerwear, 1 top and 2 skirts.
What a great buy I would say.

The gantry gates.

And we hopped on another bus to another shopping district.
Anyone remember the name of this place?

Hmm.. I had to get something for a special someone.

Day 4: 9 November 2015 (Monday)
Bye Perth! I hope to make you my second home one day. The word is "hope".

Time simply flies past when we are happy.
Back to reality.

Do your bit for the environment with Noo Trees! {Review + discount code}

With the haze going for this period of time, I am only more than glad we were given a chance to review this wonderful range of products from Noo Trees.

NooTrees®’ newly-launched range of bamboo-fibre tissue paper and wet wipes not only present a viable solution to the larger environmental issue, but are also stronger, naturally hypo-allergenic, and more biodegradable than its polyester-based equivalent; its wet wipes are able to degrade in about 45 days in the landfill, compared to years taken by conventional polyester-based wet wipes.

The NooTrees® range is competitively-priced with mass market tissue and wet wipe brands, unlike other environmentally-friendly products which tend to cost more than their conventional equivalents.

There are no harmful chemicals added to the wet wipes during the overall production process as well.

NooTrees® Bamboo Hand Face Family Wet Wipes, made from spun-lace bamboo fibre, containing botanical extracts that make the wipes hypo-allergenic and soft on the skin.

Verdict: I am a person who is quite particular about wet wipes. This is not too soapy nor too wet to the touch and it comes out pretty easily from the pack.
I personally love the 30s pack as it is the most convenient size to carry around.

NooTrees® Facial Tissue, made from highly absorbent, 100% biodegradable, sustainable and BPA-free virgin bamboo pulp.

Verdict: Nice scent (bamboo derived smell I suppose, duh right) as there are just some box tissue paper that has a stale cupboard smell but this is really good. Not too thin as it is 2 ply. You just feel so good reminding yourself that these products are biodegradeable.

NooTrees® Cleansing Treatment Wipes with Eco-Dot© Technology, a range of three textured wipes with special biodegradable exfoliating dots:
    • Aqua Skin© moisturising wipes with added hyaluronic acid, Vitamins A / E and Omega 3 / 6
    • Spa Skin© with added essential oils for relaxation
    • Age Impact© anti-ageing wipes with added Q10, peptides and antioxidants.
Just see how much make up it can clean up after a long day.

Verdict: This is actually my favourite from the lot. Though there is a certain fragrance emiting from the wipes but it was an excellent choice to use when you want to be lazy for a while. On normal days, I will wipe my face right after I cleansed my face.
During last week while travelling, I brought along the Spa Skin© wipes and used it to wipe off my make and it works wonder. I used one piece to wipe off make up, and another one to double up on toning after washing my face and it left my skin feeling smooth and refresh!

Discount code

And of course, not forgetting royal readers of Rayconniebaby get to enjoy a 20% discount once you purchase over SGD$50 over at their website. Just mention CONNIEGREEN

Hello Perth.. Company retreat.. Part 1..

As a mom of three, how many a times do you need to leave your kids at home? Rather, how many of you bear to go on a holiday without them? Well I do! Ha.. honestly I dont bear to but at times, we as moms really do need some me-time alone. So I went to my company retreat alone.. alongside with my 12 other colleagues.

So in the wee hours of 06 Nov 2015 (Friday).. yawn
so much for budget huh.

Day 1: 06 November 2015 (Friday)
Fast forward 4 hr 50 min later..
We reach Perth!
Time check: 5am.. *yawn again with panda eyes*
Temperature check: 16'C
Seriously, why did I forgot to pack my cream for my face/eyes on board.

So after settling the car rental and applying a aussie prepaid sim card.. we left the airport at 7am. My colleague had diligently booked 2 cars with GPS online. In total we self drove for about 2 days with 2 rental cars:

One Kia and one Ford.
Obviously I drove the smaller one.

A clearer pic of the one I drove.
A mini SUV or so they claimed.

The other one which is a 8 seater in which my colleague said it has luxurious leg space for all.

And as we picked up the cars from the airport, it only make sense if we start our itinerary with Swan Valley area.

Not difficult to guess what is for our first stop.
And it was only 830 am!

The shop owner showed us how to crack open a raw macademia nut by using a portable device. How interesting.

Its just weird that a non choc fan like me can end up buying packs of chocolates.

Fancy some nice freshly made wafer with ice cream?
The flavour of the ice cream that we chose was Kinder Bueno.
And it taste really good!

The lavenders were just too pretty to resist.
Love the whiff of air around the shop.

Lunch stop.
You know you are so hungry and tired that you dont mind paying AUD$15 for this.

Mayb it isnt a good idea to come here if you are not a cheese fan at all.
I love the soft cheese so much that I bought a small wedge for my aunt Sally!

The winery we went: 2 bottles of wine for my aunt Sally as we are going to her house for dinner tonight!
I "tasted" the wine by smelling it.
How professional huh.

The different angles of our apartment.
Not a very impressible place I would say.

Meet "ah huey" and "ah lian"
Aunt Sally's sheep!

I miss you Aunt Sally!

Sunset at Maud Road.

Our huge spread for dinner.

Yum yum yumm...

And I think Aunt Sally made everyone very entertained!

That ends our first day at Perth!
And I think everyone slept by 930pm that night.

#disclaimer: faces of my colleagues has been blurred out as I respect their privacy. :)
