Thankful for a fulfilling 2015..

I guess this photo sort of showcased a very fulfilling part of 2015 for me and my family.

Every year that comes and go definitely have had its challenges but I guess that sort of shaped the year for me. As such, here are the 10 things that I'm very thankful for.

1. Thank you my boss for providing me an opportunity at work and have faith in me.
2. Thankful for my family as they are blessed with good health.
3. Thankful for meeting the kind souls I met this year. You know who you are, especially the ones who offered your help when my helper was away for that 17 days.
4. Thankful that my family has a home we call our own. It may be a little small but seriously it is this space that give us warmth and build bonds.
5. Thankful that we have enough to eat and even enough to play.
6. We may not be rich but I'm only glad that that kids are sensible and don't ask for the impossible.
7. Thankful for my helper whom we trust and love like our own family member. Hope she can stay with us till she wish to retire as the kids adore her.
8. Appreciate all my friendship with all of you as I know it is not easy to accommodate to me and my 3 kids.
9. Thank you God for taking care of all of my family members so that we can stretch our hands to help those in need.
10. Finally thankful for a very wonderful partner in life.

What are you thankful for?

Now.. Time for new year resolutions.

Happy new year in advance!

Blessed Christmas to all!

While we make merry during this festive season.. My family never forget to give what we can to the needy too.

Little efforts that my family had done for the past few years but when we receive these pictures from the charity we adopted, we only felt we could have done more.
Christmas is really a season of giving without asking for any returns.
May the Lord bless these needy children with more abundance.

Lil I's big day celebration.. with my friends

Somehow we know this is gonna be the last kid in the family thus we decided to make his first celebration a little more bigger scale. Bittersweet feeling.

And thank you for everyone who turned up for littlest fella.

thank goodness Ray papa is good at this photo editing thing.
his little artwork for little one.

and in the very early morning of the celebration, Dora helped to decorate the tools that is to be use for the game session.

Our dessert table!

Childhood friend Nic who arrived earlier than us!

The TV that plays the montage and the goodies bags that I prep for the kiddos. And of course not forgetting the games I brought along. Quite a budget celebration as I simply think engaging face painting or balloonist is just not within my budget. Any interested sponsors pls approach me? Lol

Part of the dessert table.
I feel this mini cupcake was not as popular as it should be. the colours were nice and the taste was good. very nice bite size but guess it just didnt appeal to the kids much.

Another cold coner on the table. a much neglected piece. taste was actually good (not too sweet for my liking) and it took guests to actually see the colours in the shot.

I need not say too much.
and this MOST popular item on the table just got wiped out!

I am not actually a macaroon fan but I love this assorted colours and the filing was actually oreo!
Yum yum!!

M & M cookies! another hot item on the dessert table.

And the cake!
After paying for a $300 cake back then I realize a small edible cake would also make kids happy.

Childhood friends to do an "open ceremony" for the dessert table.

And the buffet spread is here!
Pineapple fried rice! Many raves about it.

Mixed vegetables.
Its like a must to have a vegetable dish in all buffet spread.
Why ah?

Cereal fish. something different from cereal prawn.
I think Ray papa knows I dislike to deshell.

I simply love potato salad!!

Who can forget this classic dish in ALL buffet spread again?

This is my ah lao's favourite.

This is Dora's favourite dish.

Bonus tempura prawn! See.. no shell!

Fried youtiao with sotong. yummmmm

I just prefer cold to hot dessert.

Aei and got photobombed by a big child.

The kiddos during games playing session.

Love it when they are so engrossed and nobody asked for free wifi!

Love these happy faces!

Us and the cake!

And see how the evil Mama closed the birthday boy's eyes to make a wish?
So what did you wish for my lil boy?

Mei mei.. do you actually know whose birthday is it?

Cross section view of the cake.

Us!!

See I told. the hottest item on the dessert table. all wiped out.

Most of us!

Thank you everyone again for the APs! Hope you and your kid/s have fun!

Dora's first performance on the big stage..

Recently it seemed like it is the concert period for many preschools. Well here was our experience with Dora's. It was with such anticipation when we went attend Dora's concert performance last Friday.

Here are the few videos of her. I especially love the Soldier theme song.

"Mother Earth"
see if you can spot her.

"Soldier song"
There are a few hilarious parts.

Finale
"What makes you beautiful"

The funniest part is still this.

post concert activity.
We dressed up lil I in Dora's costume.
Same same but different.
LOL...

Fish at Big Splash..

Just a different way of us starting our school holidays.
Not a movie or a play.. just a fishy day ahead.

And so on this fine Sunday, we went to Fish at Big Splash.
Parking is free along the main East Coast Road, or if you prefer convenience, you can always park near the cafes.

Sometimes I am only more that glad its just a short drive away.

I was not much impressed by the size of the fishing pond actually.
Ya just this pond.

What are you looking at, didi?

Kids getting all enthusiastic.

Didi.. the pond is for fishing not for your feet dipping.

Didi seriously wants to go and sit inside. Everyone's getting warm up.

After 30 minutes of fishing.. both kiddos are still quite engaged.

"Mama! I caught a fish!"
For a moment I was so impressed!
I was like.."where, mei?!"

Then i realized it was a dead fish. So sad that we had to tell it was dead and she has to dump it away. Well.. good try Mei, good try..

So about an hour or so.. even our help had fun!
It was not actually easy to fish. You actually need patience and some skills.
Its not that easy. You have to try it to know what I am saying.

Man at the counter helping us to pack.
Tell you, this lady in stripes was damn good. If you look closely, she has at least 20-30 guppies in her container.

And we went to some bistro for lunch when Lil I finds this tree very interesting.

Hello Perth.. 2015 Part 2.. Time for myself is very important

Day 2: 7 November 2015 (Saturday)
All of us woke up at about 7am in the morning *yawns!!* so that we can reach Caversham Wildlife Park (Whiteman Park) at 9am so that we can catch the Animal Show at Molly Farm.

So zip 35min drive.. we arrived!

I am much braver this time.. as I managed to feed the roos by hand unlike the previous time I was here, I totally freaked out.

I heard some tourists commented.. good time to come in the mornings as the roos are hungry and they are just hobbling around us looking for food.

I love the weather so that I can go sleeveless.

Not forgetting we also met a very charismatic llama along the way.

Then soon the animal show started at Molly's Farm.
How do you react when someone tells you that
"isnt it cruel to shred the sheep's wool?"
sorry, im can be haughty like that at times.

The kids volunteered for the milk feeding for the foals.
so cute.

And this was really something new..
I actually get to milk the cow for a few seconds!
Milking the cow reminds me of bf. oops.

And hello Koalas!!
not koalas bears.. they are marsupials.

And it was soon time for lunch.. and shopping!!

They also have a "Centrepoint Shopping Centre" right in
Great Eastern Hwy, Midland, WA Perth.
The first spot where I had shopped rather massively.
I think I spent close to AUD$180 here. ouch.

Plans after lunch was to Kings Park!

A panoromic view from Kings Park.
Such a beautiful creation of nature.
on days like this, I am just so thankful of everything.

And crazy bunch of girls doing crazy jump shots.
and I look so unglam. oh well. time to practice more yay?

I love taking photographs but pls rem that I love being in the photographs too.

Dusk arrived soon and we had to be on the way back to the apartments.
We all had a sudden craving for Chinese food.

So seeing this just help us made up my minds.
Hack the price tag.
Hor fun, char kway teow, KoLokYok rice and etc..
yummmm..

Day 3: 8 November 2015 (Sunday)
After 2 days of driving around.. it was with much reluctance when we had return the 2 big wheelies. Indeed it was a jolly good experience that I get to drive a car with "handbrake" after so many years. And I was only glad that I was actually capable of driving in another country other than SG! Yet another milestone unlocked for me!

Anyway.. on the other hand, I know I should also heave a sigh of relief as driving around really exhaust me so much. It was time to say "hello public transport!"

I know I miss you Lil Blue Buddy but I hope to drive a similar (or bigger) you again when I come back to Aussie.

And now its time for Fremantle!

And photos like these just help me lock more memories of my current Perth trip. Bus stops with stands like this will tell the colour code of their buses.

I am simply in love with victorian buildings.

Here we are!! One of my favourite spots in Perth!

Love the hustle and bustle of this small little marketplace.

Green grocery corner.

This made me miss the paella from Melbourne.
It definitely does not taste as the one from QVM, Mel.

And so there was this busker with his humourous act.

And after lunch, we took a train to WaterTown
(used to be called HabourTown)

And this ticket is still in my wallet.
Dont ask me why.

Oh no.. I was very disciplined here. I merely spent close to AUD$60.
I gotten 3 pairs of shoes, 3 innerwear, 1 top and 2 skirts.
What a great buy I would say.

The gantry gates.

And we hopped on another bus to another shopping district.
Anyone remember the name of this place?

Hmm.. I had to get something for a special someone.

Day 4: 9 November 2015 (Monday)
Bye Perth! I hope to make you my second home one day. The word is "hope".

Time simply flies past when we are happy.
Back to reality.
Zapped.
