{Sponsered Review} Part 1 of 2: Philips Coffee Maker

We are very happy that we are sponsored by Philips Singapore for the 2 following products.

Here is my first product.
  • Coffee Maker (Model Number HD7450/20)
Being an avid coffee lover, having a coffee machine at home is a must. And no, I do not need the expresso or the cappuccino. I just want a simple traditional coffee that will give me the perk every morning.

How long would you normally want to wait for a cup of coffee? 15 minutes or even 20 minutes?
I know you will smile if I were to tell you all you need is 10minutes. And while waiting, why not use this time to get dressed up.

This machine was just what I wanted. Hassle free.

You just need to scoop your desired amount of coffee powder into the washable filter.
A scoop comes with the machine. One scoop of powder for one cup of coffee..
Pour the desired amount of water into the translucent tank.
If you are preparing for 1 person, just pour one cup of water in.
Increase accordingly to number of cups to be made.
Simple as that.
This coffee maker can serves up to 6 cups of coffee.
What a treat if you have some friends over for coffee.

Switch it on!

10 minutes later. Viola.. coffee is served.

Did I also mention that there is a Drip Stop function?
This means the dripping of water will cease once you remove the glass jar.
No more ugly or dirty stains on the warming plate.

You can keep the rest of the coffee in the glass jar warm by keeping the switch on.
I am so blessed to have nice pipping hot brewed coffee at home everyday.

Last fews months of K2..

Earlier today, I was at Isa's school for the annual Parents Teachers Meeting. Here was what I had gathered from the teachers.

Feedback from his:

  • Mandarin Teacher:

Needs to work on his recognition of words and also to expose him to speaking more Mandarin. Else he is quite well behaved in class and is considered a teachable child. Needs to build on his confidence to express his thoughts. Speaks very quickly (bad genes from me).

  • English Teacher:

Is able to focus during lesson time but need constant reminders to stay concentrate on activity time. Inconsistency shown in his knowledge on concept on rote counting. (Say, he can count 28,29 then 40). He needs to be encourage on singing rhymes and songs (sorry baby, I know we are not musically inclined). Needs to improve on his reading. Is generally a well behaved child in class, no fighting or arguing of any sort. A very positive child but tends to be shy at times (eg. if he doesn't know the answer to a question, he will not dare to ask but he will try to do).

From the humility point of view, I am just glad that my boy enjoys school. Teacher's feedback are suppose to be good. What say you?

Anyway here are some of the nice works of Isa and his friends that were displayed in their class. I really miss doing these with little children. I wonder when is my calling again.

And why is time flying so fast? You mean my baby is going to be P1 in another few month's time? *gasp*

19 May 2013: Isa's second Cold Storage Kids Run

Having an avid runner hubs means you will have to join in some sort of running event.
We were there last year.
Ok I admit. I did not even jog. I was simply taking pictures all the way.

It was 730 am when this was pinned on Isa's top.
Yawn.

Ok time fast forward a bit.

9 am: Starting Point.

My enthusiastic runner.

The other enthusiastic one.

Us.
Mini me was at home resting, recuperating from the previous day's Family Day with ah lao's company.
Will definitely drag her here next year.

#photos taken with iphone4 with no filter.
How nice the colours are.

#iphone4

Hey! Look whose is here! Its Bob the Builder!

That is the scary crowd you get. By the way, ah lao and Isa were among the 1st/5 waves of the Sunshine Orange Chase. And I was outside the barricade, taking pictures.
Hehe.. I know I am very smart.

Lil man halfway through the run.
We are so proud of him as the previous year, Ray papa kicked Isa's shoe by accident and Isa grazed his knee. Ray papa had to piggy back Isa to complete the race.
This year, Isa is back, stronger and with some strategies, he picked up his pace and completed his race with lots more pride. Way to go young man.

So while Ray papa and Isa went to complete their 800,000mm race, I went into the carnival area to take some pictures.

How can I miss this beauty. Surmounting the top floor restaurant is still on my to-do list.

And then I caught Kirei Kirei in action!
Anybody want to wash your hands..?

There was also the Cold Storage and Ben 10 mascot.

You can also pledge a shoe to charity

The other side of the carnival with the crowd.
Amazing weather I would say.

Then soon I got a call!

That someone had completed his run!
Yay!
Mama is so proud of you my baby.

You know.. nobody wanted to take pictures with this poor Mr Colgate Lion mascot.
Maybe his ill fitting pants were not attractive enough.

Unlike Mr Dettol who is full of vibe.

Or maybe Mr Colgate Lion should learn a skill or two from the Zespri mascot to go on bended knees.

I love kiwis!
I bet the person in the mascot outfit is a male.

See. Green is the new black.
All the children were crowding around Mr Milo and Mr (cute!) Gardenia.

And best of all. We met beauties which benefitted my ah lao's fetish.
I look huge beside them I know.
But I like my newly bought sports top and tights!

Last but not least, sample chilled fresh milk to chill us down!
Ok cheapskate me drank.. hmm.. 3 packs?
Need I explain more about my love for milk.

"So hot! But I want to come back next year!" Isa said.
:)

First few syllabus..

Anyone wanna have a go at interpreting?

Wednesday, May 08, 2013

Just one of the before dinner moments.

The TV is turned on by the way but it seemed like no one was interested to watching it when I whipped out the aqua doodle mat.

That is the problem you have when you want to take a pic of a toddler and a preschooler.
Only one will look at you.

Dora's expression is so funny!

Then korkor looked but mei mei turned and looked at him.

There she goes with her funny expression again.
This is what you will get from her whenever she hear the word "SMILE!"

mei mei looking earnestly at what korkor is doing.
She was just looking, not exactly knowing how to "write" on the mat.

"Mei mei smile!"

Then she realizes the trick of writing with the aqua pen.

KorKor still very concentrated in writing on the mat.

After 10 minutes of trying. I declared: I give up!

Anyway it was time for dinner.
